Obedience Is A Performance

This ongoing series currently consists of three images and reflects my fascination with the choice to become a nun, an act often perceived as leaving everything behind, including worldly comfort, desire and identity. I find this decision both radical and deeply complex.
I question whether complete renunciation is truly possible, or whether it exists more as an ideal than a lived reality. the notion itself is controversial - especially in a world where desire, memory, and the body cannot simply be erased.
